Snacks add to the fun of being in office. For 1.5 days, I worked with an engineer to bring our vision to life: empower our office mates to find their favorite snacks efficiently and collaboratively.
Out of 60+ entries, our Snack app won 2nd place overall as well as People's Choice. And you guessed it... I spent a small portion of prize $$ on snacks :)
Each kitchen is represented as a hotspot you can tap to see a list of currently available snacks – you can instantly decide whether it’s worth climbing up 2 flights of stairs for your favorite chips.
Results show kitchen location and stock status, so users can plan their snack stop between meetings or collaborations.
Anyone grabbing a snack can scan the barcode with their phone camera to log and update snack info into the system. Snack Run! pulls from an online nutrition database to auto-tag allergens, helping colleagues with dietary restrictions snack safely. This shared system turns snacking into a community activity.
